Inglaterra Hotel

The  Inglaterra Hotel, the oldest in Cuba, is considered today, a genuine representative jewel of the colonial period. It was opened in 1875 in the heart of Havana, just a few steps from Paseo del Prado, next to the Gran Teatro de La Habana and opposite the lovely Central Park. It has a neoclassical facade with stained glass, colored mosaics, Seville gates and inside the marble floors gleam, predominate its stained glass and chandeliers.

The hotel has 83 simple but comfortable rooms, some overlook the street, others the inner courtyards of the building; and some has attractive armchairs and colonial artifacts in perfect balance with the decor. This renowned 4 star hotel offers its guests medical services, fax, e-mail, bureau of tourism, excellent art gallery and boutique. Also has a café bar and a grill bar on the top floor with amazing views of the city. Its restaurant "El Colonial" serves delicious international cuisine and its Charter menu has been designed by different artists Cubans who, in turn, have donated valuable personal works to decorate the hotel. His renowned Café-Restaurant "The Louvre" remains an attractive unparalleled, as was in the nineteenth century due to its excellent location across from Central Park, into the very heart of Havana.
